This works well on lemon to large orange sized fruit. Doesn't work for a darn on limes, but that's what lime squeezers are for.
Bad stuff:
The bottom of the unit smelled like something toxic. I removed the screws holding the plastic mat on the bottom and found the foulest smelling material that was supposed to be the bottom weight to keep it from tipping.
I don't know about you, but acetylene mixed with rotten fish and cow manure smell coming from the bottom of my juice squeezer is a bad thing. I think it was aluminum slag, which I think is hazardous waste. Either that or someone mixed plaster with horse dung.
So I put on rubber gloves took that out and gave it the whole unit a good scrubbing.
Cleaning is difficult.
You have to hold the entire unit upside down under running water to get the top half of the unit cleaned after use.
And when you clean the base the water seeps through the poorly designed plastic seal. Then rust forms between the seal and the base of the unit, so every time I clean it I have to pop the seal out and wait for it to dry before I put it back together.
Good Stuff:
I'll tell you what; If you have to squeeze an entire crop off of two lemon trees and three orange trees and a tangerine tree, this little bugger ROCKS.
A total of 8 gallons of pure juice in about 8 hours of squeezing, or about a gallon an hour --- all nice and frozen now.
It looks nice. I like it. If aliens from the 8th dimension stole my chrome squeezer, I'd get another one, toxic waste and all.
